Lectures and Topics

The School will be organized around short courses of 4/5 hours each, taught by internationally renowned experts. The topics and lecturers are (titles of the courses to be confirmed):

  • Basic aspects of the production, characterization, and study of Bose-Einstein condensates (V. S. Bagnato, University of Sao Paulo, BRAZIL)
  • Mean-field Theory of trapped atomic cold gases  (F. Dalfovo, Università di Trento, ITALY)
  • Bose-Einstein condensation at finite temperatures (A. Griffin, University of Toronto, CANADA)
  • Principles of Quantum Information and Quantum Computation (J. Kempe, Tel-Avi University, ISRAEL)
  • Quantum Gases in Atomic Chips (Joerg Schmiedmayer, TU Wien, AUSTRIA)
  • Quantum Information Theory and Many-Body Physics (F. Verstraete, University of Vienna, AUSTRIA)

A satellite workshop will be held on the same dates. Time will be available for discussions of posters and for short conferences.
